Hi I’m Paul Godin, welcome to my blog! I’ve been married for 23 years to my beautiful wife Michelle. We have three children ages 20, 10 and 3 and we recently became grandparents for the first time.
I’ve been in the tech field for 16 years or so. I’ve held various jobs mostly supporting customers. I’m currently a sustaining engineer. Photography has been a hobby of mine for a few years now. I started with a Nikon film camera eventually making the switch to digital. Because I had lenses from my film days I decided to stick with Nikon, a brand I knew and trusted.
I’ve started this site for a couple of reasons. I’ve been blogging now since 2008. I started off running a city based daily blog which was a lot of fun. After a period of time though I found it challenging to post on a daily basis. Between work and family life it has been hard to find the time to get out and do some photography. I decided to stop the daily blog and started Under The Glass which I post to once in a while.
I’ve had some success finacially while blogging. My wife has a MLM business that I help out with on the technical side. While reading the monthly reports I started to realize that the top 5 sales people were doing 20k to 40k per month in sales. Having had a large order of 1800 dollars delivered to my house in the past I knew that the sales these consultants were making were not from home parties. After researching it some I came to realize my suspicions were correct and they were marketing on the Internet to obtain these sales levels.
With this knowledge I started to focus on online marketing and soon found that I was getting good results. Between blogging about things, tweeting and other forms of social media I was able to drive 100′s of visitors per day to my wife’s blog. With this many visits I started to see sales pick up. While we are not at the level that the top 5 consultants are that I mentioned earlier, we are on our way.
So I’ve been sitting on this domain name for some time now. I decided it was time to build out a site doing the things I enjoy. I will take my technical knowledge and share it with you to help you on your journey.
